Well Sunday’s walk at Rigaud was cancelled due the fact it rained most of the day. So I hope you
got all those jobs done at home which you have been saving for a rainy day. Some more alert members of the club went out on Saturday before the rains came, see Hervey’s note below:
“At least 2 Beavertails hit the trails this past Saturday. We hiked the very sandy ski trail of Des Cedres. This gave Muriel an opportunity to see what she is in for this coming season. Conditions were mostly dry with the occasional muddy patch and horse souvenirs. There is no charge to use the site until the x-country season begins.”
Christine BM also was out that way with some of her friends.
Lets hope for better weather next week.

We were not alone on the trails as we passed several small groups who were clearly jealous of our Celebrity Navigator however still managed a cheery “Bonjour”.
A dubious weather day did not prevent 25 walkers collecting at the Sucrerie de la Montagne on Sunday Morning, mind you 9 of this group had crossed the border from Toronto in the dead of night just to join us, or as Germain said “can my friends come on the walk”? So down we went, keeping to the snow shoe trails, slightly damp in sections until we hit the ski trail 2. We were reasonably organised this week, mainly due to the fact that the lead group had maps and could read them. Like all historical trails they
